Re:  REQUEST FOR INFORMATION PURSUANT TO THE OFFICIAL

     INFORMATION ACT 1982

 

As you are aware I am the principal applicant and licensee along with others in Mining Licence 32-3021, Prospecting Application 31-2583 and Mining Permit Application 41-452.

 

Since 1989 the Ministry of Commerce have withheld the grant of these applications specifying the mineral nephrite or associated minerals. We have also been advised by your office and the Minister of Energy that an application for a renewal of Mining Licence 32-3021 will not be granted.

Furthermore the Crown has since transferred the minerals specified in these applications to private parties while we have retained application rights over these minerals until the Minister of Energy grants or declines these applications pursuant to the respective mining Act's.

 

These matters have directly affected us personally as applicant­s and licensee's therefore please supply us all official information pertaining to our rights, statutory and otherwise including our rights to appeals, arbitration and compensation.

 

As we have had to wait an extremely long period of time for clear advise on other matters,it would be much appreciated if you could have our request actioned before the Minister of Energy formally notifies us of his pre-advised decision on the above applications.
